METRO-RELOADED DRUGS & ALCOHOL POLICY
At Metro-Reloaded, we’re committed to creating a safe, enjoyable and inclusive space for everyone. We operate a Zero Tolerance Policy towards the use, possession or supply of illegal drugs on or around our premises and fully support Challenge 25 to prevent underage drinking.
Drugs Policy
We work closely with Police Scotland, North Ayrshire Council Licensing, and local safety partners to maintain a drug-free venue. Anyone found using, possessing or suspected of supplying drugs will be:
- Refused entry or removed immediately
- Reported to Police Scotland
- Any substances handed to police in line with Section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971
Searches may be carried out as a condition of entry. Refusal means no entry.
This policy follows:
- Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (as amended)
- Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005
- Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
Challenge 25
Metro-Reloaded enforces Challenge 25. If you look under 25, you’ll need photo ID (Passport, UK Driving Licence or PASS-accredited card) to buy or consume alcohol. No valid ID = No service.
This complies with Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, Section 102, and national Challenge 25 guidance supported by Police Scotland and the Scottish Government.
